Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via OAuth, your name and profile information from the provider (GitHub or Google). We use this to identify your account and communicate with you.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details. Stripe provides us with a token, card type, last four digits, and transaction records for billing purposes.

Usage metadata

We collect metadata about your instances: status, GPU type, start/stop times, uptime, and resource allocation. This data is used for billing, platform monitoring, and capacity planning.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not access, collect, or store the contents of your GPU instances, including your files, code, models, outputs, or training data. API keys you provide at launch are injected into your container and are not stored or logged by Scaile.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process credit purchases and bill for GPU usage
  • To send transactional emails (low balance warnings, instance notifications, receipts)
  • To monitor and improve platform reliability and performance
  • To respond to support requests
  • To enforce our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with the following third parties as needed to operate the platform:

  • Stripe — payment processing (transaction data, billing address)
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (email address, message content)
  • GPU providers (e.g., RunPod) — instance provisioning (instance configuration, no personal data)
  • GitHub, Google — OAuth authentication (profile data you authorize)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use advertising trackers or analytics platforms that profile individual users.

5. Cookies

Scaile uses session cookies for authentication. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, or compliance purposes. Usage logs are retained for up to 90 days for platform monitoring and then deleted. Instance data is permanently deleted when an instance is destroyed and cannot be recovered.

7. Your Rights

You may:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (TLS) for all data in transit. Instances run in isolated containers. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled via magic link email or OAuth providers. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure.

9. Children

Scaile is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete the account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
